The Siemens Q260 is a black, compact molded case circuit breaker designed to fit seamlessly into Siemens brand panels, maintaining the panel's warranty (using non-Siemens breakers voids the warranty). It provides a reliable, resettable safety mechanism unlike a fuse which requires replacement after a single use. Its operation is controlled by a manual on/off switch, allowing users to restore power quickly after resolving an electrical issue. The breaker's design focuses on both effective circuit protection and ease of use for a range of high-demand residential and light industrial applications.

Features

  • High Amperage Rating: A 60-amp capacity makes it ideal for heavy-duty 240V applications, such as electric water heaters, central air conditioning units, and electric ranges.
  • Dual Pole Design: As a two-pole breaker, it connects to both hot wires, allowing it to manage 240V circuits and disconnect power simultaneously from both legs during a fault condition, ensuring enhanced safety.
  • Thermal-Magnetic Protection: It uses a thermal trip element for protection against persistent overloads and a magnetic trip element for instantaneous tripping in the event of a short circuit.
  • Easy Plug-In Installation: The breaker features a plug-in (or push-on) mounting style and the "Insta-Wire" time-saving feature for straightforward installation into compatible Siemens load centers.
  • High Interrupting Rating: It has a certified 10,000 Amperes Interrupting Capacity (AIC), enabling it to safely handle and stop high fault currents.
  • Safety & Durability: The Q260 is UL Listed and CSA Approved and made from durable ABS/plastic materials, suitable for both interior and exterior use when housed in a proper enclosure.
  • Wire Compatibility: The load lug terminals accept a range of copper or aluminum wire sizes, typically from 8 AWG to 2/0 AWG (Cu/Al).
